影片以世界末日事件发生后人们被迫陷入极度孤立的场景为背景。一对父子（莫耶饰）与世隔绝，他们已经与世隔绝 20 年，却遇到了一个外来人（西尔弗斯通饰），后者威胁要摧毁他们所建立的乌托邦。

上野树里和林健人共同主演的荣获第14届当代故事新人奖的帕鲁斯绫子的小说《邻居X》正在被拍成电影。影片名为《邻居X：可疑女友》，将于12月1日起在东京、新宿皮卡迪利等全国各地上映。
